Paint Sprayers for Fast Projects

Paint sprayers will make the whole painting project go by in a faster than you ever imagined. If you have a painting project ahead of you, you were probably dreading it just because you were picturing all the hassles of buckets of paint and paint brushes. Before you would have to spend time looking for the paint and then buying all the separate items that you need to make the project happen. This would usually include several different paint brushes and rollers to make sure you could get ever different nook and corner of the painting area painted just right. Then you would have to take time to clean all the brushes and pans and paint sticks when you were done so that you could use them again next time. But with a paint sprayer you simply fill up the sprayer and then spray the paint onto the wall or whatever item you are painting. It is easy, simply and even quicker to clean up. Make your painting project fun as well as fast with paint sprayers!

Consider your Project

Paint sprayers are great for just about any painting job you have ahead of you. If you know that you have a lot of painting jobs coming up, or maybe just one really big one that is going to last awhile then you may want to spend the money for really good quality paint sprayer. This way even though you will be giving it a lot of wear and tear it will still keep working great and will be around for future projects.

Maybe you know that you want a paint sprayer, but you won’t be using it very often. You can still find paint sprayers that are priced low that will work great for the few projects you have for them. You won’t have to spend a lot of money but you will have fun and get the job done. It will still work for other projects but you won’t be spending a ton of money on something you wont be using a whole lot.

Another thing to consider when you are purchasing a paint sprayer is how much painting you will be doing. If you have a very large project then you will want to buy a paint sprayer that holds a lot of paint. This will save time because you won’t have to refill the paint canister over and over again. Paint sprayers will also save you strain on your muscles because you wont have to stand there as long moving a brush and a roller up and down.

You can find some decent paint sprayers for a normal home project for around $100-$300. These are the sprayer for projects that you do once in awhile. If you know you are going to start moving towards starting a painting business or taking on a whole house or building project you’ll want one that is between $300-$1000. These will last awhile and do an even more effective and fast job.

Get The Family Involved

Think about how hard it is to get your family to help you will any type of home project. You ask your son to help you mow the lawn or clear the branches out of the yard and he just grumbles. You ask your daughter to rake some leaves or help dig weeds out of the garden and she disappears into her room for hours. But with paint sprayers they will be begging to help you. It is great to get your family involved and anything that can be an incentive for unified home improvement is a great investment. However make sure that the kids are old enough and that they are supervised, or you may regret asking them to help after all.

If you are thinking about redecorating your kitchen, you are not alone. Everyday, homeowners everywhere are choosing to create a new look for the most used room in the house. However, when they stop to think about what they want, it’s hard to decide.

Trends in Kitchen Color

If you find yourself in that position, it is because you are already used to the color and the decor you have chosen. You know that the family has accepted it and you don’t want to step out of the comfort zone but at the same time, you want a different look in your kitchen. What do you do?

The best way to improve your kitchen decor is to go with the latest trends in kitchen color. This is what is the most popular right now and it will help you cross over to a new look without feeling uncomfortable. Color is everything; it can affect the way someone feels, how much they eat, even if they enjoy their meal or not. Color says a lot about you and your style so why take a chance and get it wrong?

Online

One of the best ways to find the latest trends in kitchen color is to search online. You can type in latest trends in kitchen color and you will get back thousands of results. The most recent trends are being typed into a computer somewhere in the world and you are about to stumble upon it. The internet can be both a good thing and a bad thing. It’s good because you are aware of all the choices, but it is bad because there will be too many choices to make. This can make it very difficult for you to decide on the right look for your kitchen.

Magazines

The most modern trends in kitchen color will be found in home improvement and home decor magazines. You will see pictures of what the final look will be like and most articles will tell you the name of the paint and where you can find it. There are so many different looks to go with but a magazine usually captures the most attractive or the most popular of all the looks. A magazine can narrow down your search and make it easier.

There are other benefits of finding the latest trends in kitchen color through a magazine. You will be able to cut out the look and tape it to your kitchen wall. Leave it there for a few days and see how everyone responds to it. Take a vote if you have a couple to choose from. When you are ready to finalize your plans, the choice may already be made for you.

Samples

In the paint section of almost every store that sells paint, you will find sample cards. These cards are great because you can scan through them and pick the colors that catch your eyes the most. Take them home and every day you can tape one of the samples to the wall near the light switch to get a reaction from everyone. If no one says anything, chances are you are not putting up a good color. When you find the right color, everyone will comment about it as they turn the lights off in the kitchen.

The latest trends in kitchen color is always changing but you don’t have to. It just gives you a variety to choose from whenever you are ready to make a change. If you still have a hard time deciding on a color, then go with a neutral color and accessorize with a popular color.

Don’t Rush When You Pick Interior Paint Colors

When decorating your home, one of the most important and sometimes nerve wrecking thing to do is trying to decide on what color to paint each room. You could go with boring, dull colors like white or antique white and pretty much be safe; however, most of us like to spice things up a bit by adding color to our walls. This can sometimes be a headache because picking the right tone of the color can be a little tricky, among other things.

When trying to decide upon the right interior paint colors for your home there are several mistakes that you could make. The most common mistakes that are made when picking interior paints colors are: choosing the wrong color tone, choosing the wrong type of paint and not using a primer for the surface.

There is a wide variety of colors that are available in the interior paint department and each color is usually offered in several different tones. Even if you look at the provided samples, sometimes what you think will look good together, when put on the walls, turns out to be the wrong choice. The sample may be inviting and you may love the tone of the color; however, remember that walls are large and the color can become overwhelming, especially if you are painting the entire room. Instead of painting the entire room with this “wrong” tone, you could try painting just one wall to use as an accent wall. This could help tone down your choice of interior paint color.

Another mistake is choosing the wrong type of paint. You want to choose a paint that is made for your specific needs. Do you wanting a paint that is easily washable? When you have kids, this could be at the top of your list. Do you want a flat paint, a semi-gloss paint or a gloss? This is a choice that you need to make and if you are confused about the differences, then ask the associate at the paint store to help explain the choices to you.

You really need to use a primer, especially if you are trying to cover up another color of interior paint. Most people think, “Oh, its paint. It will cover anything.” Well, not necessarily. It may take several coats of paint to cover up the existing color, which in the end can cost you quite a bit of more money. Using a primer to begin with, can save you time and money.

These are the three most common mistakes when choosing an interior paint color. Whenever you go shopping for that perfect color, keep these in mind so that you can ensure that you, too, will not make these mistakes.

Are you ready to paint house interior?

Now that you have decided to paint the interior of your home you will want to make sure that you don’t make any of the common interior painting mistakes that many people do today. Paint is expensive, so not only will it cost you more money, it will also cost you extra time, which a lot of us don’t have. You want to make sure that your painting job is perfect because you have to live with it and you will notice, on a daily basis, what is wrong and it could drive you nuts.

The most common mistakes that many people make is: failing to use a primer to help cover up the existing paint, not taping off edges and getting paint where it is not supposed to be. All of these mistakes can not only be annoying but can also be a pain to fix. You will end up spending more money and time trying to fix your mistakes. So it is best to do it right the first time around.

Failing to use a primer is one of the mistakes that are at the top of the list for interior painting mistakes. You automatically assume that since it is paint that it will cover anything. Well, that’s not always the case. Especially if you are painting a ceiling that may have water stains where it has leaked in the past, you will want to use a primer unless you plan on applying numerous coats. Ceilings can be a pain to paint anyway, so who really wants to do this more than once?

Taping off the edges of windows, outlets, light switches, etc can be time consuming; however, in the end if you don’t, it can not only be time consuming but also costly. Go ahead and tape off the items that need it. It will make your paint job look more professional and clean. Trying to fix those mistakes where you get paint on the ceiling, etc, may require that you repaint; again, costing you more time and money.Spilling paint by accident, like climbing down off the ladder and stepping in it, is actually not that uncommon and getting paint on places like your floor is not desirable. Your best bet is to lie a piece of plastic down on the flooring before you start painting. Also, cover any furniture with old blankets or plastic to help protect them as well. You will be glad you did.

Don’t let these mistakes happen to you. Interior painting can be exciting, don’t let it become a headache!

Read before You Start

Painting the exterior of your home is quite a large job to take on. So, whenever you decide to do this, you will want to make sure that you do it right the first time. If you have to redo the project, it will cost you more time and more money. This is something that we all don’t have a lot of in today’s society. Making sure that you don’t make the most common mistakes in exterior painting should be one of your top priorities.

There are actually several things that could go wrong with a project like this; however, the most common of the mistakes are: not preparing the surface properly, accentuating the wrong elements and tonal overload. You wouldn’t expect a project of this nature to be so demanding when it comes to just “painting”. But the truth is, exterior painting can be a nightmare, if you let it.

Preparing the surface properly prior to painting is very important. You want to paint on a surface that is ready to receive the paint; it you don’t, you may find yourself repainting the exterior of your home more often that you would like. Scraping off old paint that should be removed and washing the exterior of your home should be at the top of the list. Paint will go on better with clean surfaces.Accentuating elements like window frames and shutters can be very pretty on the outside of a home. But don’t go overboard.

Accentuating the wrong elements, like gutters and unevenly spaced windows can actually be an eyesore. Using accent colors will make these items stand out, so make sure that you choose the right elements when accentuating the exterior of your home with paint.

So, the last on the list is tonal overload. A lot of times, neighborhoods or subdivisions may have a policy about what color you are allowed to paint the exterior of your home to be within the terms of the Homeowners Association. You will want to check this out prior to purchasing your paint. Also, yellow, for example, is a beautiful color to paint the exterior of your home; however, the wrong tone of yellow could be a nightmare. If you are using an accent color, make sure that both shades are coordinated and on the same tonal level as each other to make sure that they don’t “clash”.

This is a job that you will only want to do once. Don’t let one of these mistakes cost you anymore than it has to by doing the job right the first time.

Are You Ready to Paint Your House

Painting the exterior of your home is a large job. Most of us will probably only do it once in our lifetime; we definitely do not want to do it more than that. Making sure that you do it right the first time should be one of your top priorities. Having to fix a mess up is not only not fun but it can be time consuming and very expensive in the long run. Don’t let the common mistakes of picking an exterior paint color affect you.

Some of the most common mistakes when picking exterior paint colors are: choosing the wrong type of paint for the surface, choosing the wrong tone of color and accentuating the wrong elements. You may not have thought about these items, but they are very important whenever you are trying to pick out that right color for the exterior of your home.

Houses are made out of different materials and different paints are available for those materials. Wood exteriors tend to absorb paint more than other exteriors and you will want to make sure that you choose a paint that is made for that surface. Another thing is that paints are designed to withstand different elements. For example, if you live in a very raining and wet area, then choosing a paint that will hold up to moisture should be at the top of your list. The same thing goes for heat and direct sunlight, as you don’t want the paint to fade. Also, choose a paint that with repel mold, this is a great choice in the end.

The exterior of your home, even though it is your home, should reflect the neighborhood. You don’t want to be the eyesore of the area. Take notice of the other homes in the area and choose a tone of color that will fit in with the rest. This doesn’t mean that you have to be exactly like the rest of them; you can still pick out a green shade, just make sure the tone isn’t overwhelming.

When choosing an accent color, consider the items that you want to accent. For example, if you have a white house and you would like to accent the shutter with blue, it would be pretty; however, if you paint other things like your gutters, etc, the blue can be overwhelming. Make sure you only accent the appropriate and necessary items and with the right tone of color, as these items will stand out compared to the rest of the home.

Making one of these mistakes can cost more money and more time. Take these items into consideration whenever you go shopping for the exterior paint colors for your home.

New Year, New Trends in Paint Colors

With the New Year come new trends in exterior paint colors. Consumers in today’s society are becoming more environmentally conscience and it is showing with their choices of exterior paint colors. They are now taking into consideration the effects that paint has on the environment and/or they want their choice in hue to reflect the environment.

How to Pick your Exterior Paint & Colors? Here are some tips & ideas. It is quite easy and coming from experience of talking folks. The “green” definitely shows in 2012 exterior paint colors and painting options. Nowadays, you don’t even have to paint your entire home.

Now, you can just take a chip of paint to your retailer and get a color match done. Then all you have to do is paint the areas that need painting. This definitely shows the environmentally friendly side of things. Consumers want the exterior of their homes to match the interior. This is reflected in the choices of exterior paint colors. This doesn’t mean that if you have a bright yellow on the interior of your home that you paint the outside the same. A muted, pale yellow is a more friendly choice for an exterior paint color.

Consumers are also leaning towards more earth tones this year. We are seeing shades of green, tan, and even gray, as well as, white and yellow. Make sure that when you are choosing a exterior paint for your home that it is compatible with the type of environment that you live in. If you live in a part of the country that experiences a lot of rain, then you will want to purchase a paint that repels moisture, mold and so on. This will help to keep you from having to repaint your home on a regular basis, which is more environmentally friendly.

Exterior paint trends for 2012 are blended hues that reflect the environment. Even though consumers want to “stand out” they still want to “blend in”. Make sure to check with your neighborhood guidelines before painting the exterior of your home. There may be some kind of stipulations on what colors you can use. Even if there is not, “blending in” to the rest of the neighborhood will still be in your best interest. If all of the other houses are white, you don’t have to choose white, but do choose a muted, pale tone of the shade of your choice, instead of a brighter shade.

In 2012, go “green” and stay with the trends. Picking exterior paint & color is about about right feel at the right time. “Green” products and shades will help to make you feel more relaxed and soothed, but still can cause heads to turn.

New Year, New Hues

One thing is for certain, the economy is going “green” and this is no different in the trends for 2012 interior paint colors. Consumers want colors and products that are healthy for the environment. Society is definitely becoming more earth friendly and there is no exception when it comes to paint. The color may be green as well. But what people want to save is their green, that is, the dollars they want to keep in their pocket. We all want a nice looking home but budgets are constrained. Therefore, consumers are looking for the best deals when it comes to the paint. They want it to work the best and cost the least. Paint companies are meeting the challenge of these needs and stepping up to the plate. Often you will hear the buzz words in their advertising.

How to Pick your Interior Paint & Colors? Here are some tips & ideas. It is quite easy and coming from experience of talking folks. Paint that is environmentally friendly and that can make the consumer feel relaxed and soothed as well as all of those who visit their home, are definitely “in” in 2012.

What type of effects that the paint has on the environment, is on the back of the consumer’s mind as they make their purchases. Knowing how to pick interior paint colors that are environmentally friendly can be as easy as just asking the sales associate.

Trendy interior paint colors are leaning towards the more relaxing and soothing shades. We are seeing paint colors from light, pale pink to yellow on one hand and then on the other, we are seeing more earth tones that help to reflect the “green” side that people are feeling. Bringing the outdoors in with browns, tans, greens and so on is very popular in 2012 interior paint colors.

Other shades that are reflecting the souls of the consumers are black, white, and even grays. White adopts that clean and fresh feeling that everyone loves and if accented correctly, can make the room feel alive with color. Black and gray is reflecting other natural elements, as in stone and minerals. Again, the “green” feeling is shown here.

These colors may sound drab and dull but with the correct elements and within the right amounts, your home will seem like a masterpiece to all who visit. Remember, you do not have to paint an entire room with the same color. Interior painting trends are showing that by providing an accent wall with the dramatic hue and accenting the room with various elements can pull everything together and create an environment that anyone would be proud of. Black is a perfect example of a color that could be placed on an accent wall. Or how about various painting techniques that could “spice” things up, like faux techniques?

2012 is the year to definitely try something new as in terms of non-traditional shades. Picking Interior paint & color is about the right fit at the right time. It is also the year to become environmentally conscience and to learn about how paint affects the environment. You want to feel good about your home and relaxed while you are there and what better way to do it than going “green”? Oregon based company of Eco Paint is a prime example of a eco-friendly type of paint. Green Seal has been certifying architectural paints since 1993. Certified paints have fewer chemicals and low or no VOCs so they have less impact on the environment and indoor air quality, and they perform as well as, or better than, other conventional paints. The groundbreaking 2008 revision of the standard reflects technological improvements in paint and provides even more information to consumers. There are more than 1,000 specified chemical compounds found in many paints that are now prohibited by the new GS-11 2008 certification.

Making your home beautiful

The right exterior paint can make your home look completely different. It can bring your home from living in the past to looking brand new. Exterior paint can make a world of difference; however, you must choose the right paint for the job. Don’t let all of the available options on the market get you confused. If you have to, ask the sales clerk for help. Painting the exterior of your home is time consuming and a lot of work and you will only want to do it once.

Knowing what to look for in an exterior paint will help you and the looks of your home. Exterior paint comes in a variety of options and you will need to know what will work best for your home. Follow this short guide to picking exterior paint for you home and it could save you time and money.

1. Exterior paint should be chosen based upon its ability to withstand Mother Nature. Weather plays an important role in how paint will last when it is on the exterior of your home. Some paint is made to withstand temperatures as low as negative 50 degrees F. Other paints are made to withstand high temperatures and harsh sun. You will need to choose an exterior paint that will best suit the environment in which your home is located.

2. Exterior paint should be chosen based upon the surface that will be accepting it. Wood siding will absorb paint different than vinyl siding. Depending on what surface you will be painting over, will determine what type of finish you will need. For example, with wood a matte finish will work better since it will absorb the paint. Semi-gloss will work well on vinyl siding as will gloss.

3. Exterior paint should be chosen based upon durability and color retention. Some colors and brands tend to fade worse than others. The color retention factor will be a major decision maker in this process since most people don’t like painting their houses every few years. You will want to choose a paint that will last, won’t absorb water (which will help keep mildew away), won’t crack, and won’t chip. Acrylic Latex paint is a perfect choice to help with these factors.

Painting the exterior of your home should not be a hassle. This guide will help you in determining what type of exterior paint it is that you will need and it will help you keep your home looking brand new. Now, really the only thing left for you to do is to decide on what color you want the exterior paint to be and that will be easier.

Light up your life with color

The interior of your home is supposed to make you feel relaxed and comfortable and be inviting to others. Picking interior paint can become a pain if you don’t know what you want or if you don’t know what to look for. By deciding before shopping you will have less of a headache because you will know where to begin. Don’t forget that you can always ask for help or advice from the sales clerk. They can help to clarify any questions that you may have.

Interior paint options are like nail colors; there are literally thousands of options available. No wonder why many people find it hard to make the decision. It is something that you will have to live with because you will stare at it every day and repainting an entire room after you have already painted it, is not something that is highly desirable. Here is a short guide to help you make the right choice the first time.

1. What type of finish do you want? Interior paint comes in three different finishes, normally. There is the matte finish, semi-gloss and gloss. You will need to decide on what type of look you are going for; however, most consumers tend to go with the semi-gloss finish, making it the most popular.

2. What color do you need that will coordinate with the room that you are painting? If your room is decorated in red and white, you definitely wouldn’t want to put purple on the walls. The walls are massive and will tend to draw the eye their way. If you want the walls to blend and not be overwhelming, then your best option will be to choose a neutral color, such as white, antique white, beige and the alike. If you want your walls to stand out, then going with a more noticeable color will be your best choice.

3. What do you want the “feel” of the room to be? Do you want the room to be light and airy or dark and cozy? Deciding on the “feel” can help you pick out the appropriate shade/tone of color. A light and airy room will require a lighter color on the walls such as, pastel shades. A dark and cozy room will require a deeper/muted tone on the walls.

At least this guide will give you an idea of what you will need to decide before picking interior paint colors for your house. After doing it a couple of times, you will begin to understand and eventually you will become a pro at picking out that perfect shade.
